Vimmersa vs 3DVista
A 3DVista alternative that runs entirely in the browser
3DVista is mature desktop software with a one-off licence and strong offline export. Vimmersa is for teams who would rather build, host and share tours from a browser, with hosting in the plan.
What Vimmersa does differently
Nothing to install
Build and edit tours in the browser on any computer; teammates and clients open the same link. No licence keys to move between machines.
Hosting in the plan
Premium includes hosting, a custom domain and white-label links. There is no separate hosting subscription to renew.
AI tools built in
Nadir patching, retouch and clean-up, and animated panoramas from a still image, inside the editor.
Offline from the same link
Switch on Offline and the tour downloads into the browser — desktop, phone or Meta Quest — for fairs and firewalled rooms.
Live cast
Present a tour live: viewers follow your view on their own devices from a link, with voice, laser pointers and everyone shown as avatars.
EU-operated
Run from Warsaw, Poland, on servers in Germany.

What Vimmersa does not do
No standalone export
There is no EXE, Mac app or folder export to run a tour without a browser. Offline works inside the browser.
Offline covers 360° content only
3D models, Gaussian splats and animated panoramas need a connection.
Custom look, not a custom skin
You set the panels' colours, transparency, borders, corners and spacing, your logo and domain; the controls themselves keep Vimmersa's layout.
No measurements inside panoramas
Vimmersa cannot measure distances in a 360° scene.
Questions
Is Vimmersa a 3DVista alternative?
Yes, if you would rather work in the browser. 3DVista is desktop software you install and license once; Vimmersa is built, hosted and shared from the browser on a subscription that includes hosting.
Is 3DVista cheaper?
For a single user who already hosts tours themselves, a one-off €499 licence can be cheaper over several years. Add 3DVista hosting (from €99/year) and the gap narrows; Vimmersa Premium is $290/year with hosting, a custom domain and white-label links.
Can I present without internet?
Yes. Switch on Offline in the tour and it downloads into the browser on a laptop, phone or Meta Quest. It covers 360° panoramas, hotspots, floor plans and 2D views; 3D models, splats and animated panoramas need a connection. 3DVista's standalone offline export goes further here.
