Is Vimmersa a Sentio VR alternative?
For presenting 360° tours offline in a Meta Quest, yes — with the difference that there is no headset app to install. Open the tour in the Quest browser, switch on the Offline toggle, and it presents with the connection off. For offline 3D or BIM walkthroughs, Sentio covers that on its higher tier and Vimmersa does not.
What do I give up by not having a headset app?
A store app can install once and run without a browser tab, and it can ship heavier offline payloads such as BIM models. What you get instead is no install, no sideloading and no per-device setup — which is usually what matters on a loaner headset or a client’s own device.
Do I need to download each tour on each headset?
Yes. Browser storage belongs to the device that downloaded it, so each headset that will present offline needs its own download. It is a link and a toggle rather than an install, so it takes about a minute per tour.
Can I present without signing in on the headset?
Signing in on the headset is a one-time step to download a tour to it. After that the offline library opens with no connection and no sign-in prompt.
How do I test that a tour will really work offline?
On the headset, download the tour, turn Wi-Fi off, open the bookmarked offline library and press Enter VR. That is the whole check, and it is worth doing once the day before a presentation.
