Vimmersa vs Matterport

The Matterport alternative for renders, 360° and 3D

Matterport scans spaces that already exist. Vimmersa turns the content you already produce — renders, 360° panoramas and 3D — into interactive tours you share with one link. No capture camera, no app.

Why teams choose Vimmersa

Offline in the same browser link

Switch on Offline and the tour downloads into the browser — desktop, phone or the Meta Quest browser — so you can present at a trade fair or behind a corporate firewall with no app to install. Covers the 360° panoramas, hotspot navigation, floor plans, 2D views and nadir patches.

Works from what you already have

Publish from renders and 360° panoramas — no site visit, no capture camera, and projects that are not built yet.

Animated panoramas

Add motion inside a 360° scene — people, water, foliage — a visual hook static capture cannot produce.

Gaussian splats + glTF

Mix photoreal splats and 3D models alongside panoramas in one tour.

One link, no app

Every tour opens in the browser and can be white-labelled and embedded on your own domain.

AI nadir & retouch

Automatic tripod/nadir patching and clean-up, built in.

EU-operated

Run from Warsaw, Poland — a straightforward answer for EU procurement and data questions.

Questions

Is Vimmersa a Matterport alternative?

Yes. Matterport is built around scanning existing physical spaces with a capture camera. Vimmersa turns content you already have — architectural renders, 360° panoramas and 3D models — into interactive tours, so you can present projects that are not built yet.

Do I need a special camera?

No. Vimmersa works from equirectangular 360° images, renders and 3D files (GLB/GLTF, Gaussian splats). If your visualization pipeline already outputs 360° panoramas, you can publish a tour without any capture hardware.

Can clients open a tour without installing an app?

Yes. Every tour is a single link that opens in the browser on desktop, phone and headset. You can also white-label it and embed it on your own site.

Where is the data hosted?

Vimmersa is operated from the EU by BREP STUDIO Sp. z o.o. in Warsaw, Poland.

Can I present a tour offline, without an internet connection?

Yes, from the same browser link. Matterport offers offline viewing through its Showcase app for iOS and a download inside its VR app, but not from a desktop browser. In Vimmersa you switch on the Offline toggle while you still have Wi-Fi and the tour downloads into whichever browser you are in — desktop, phone or the Meta Quest browser — so there is nothing to install on the device that presents it. The offline download covers the 360° panoramas, hotspot navigation, floor plans, 2D views and nadir patches; animated panoramas, retouches, snapshots, 360° spins, masterplans, 3D models and Gaussian splats need a connection.
